As time slowly passes we find Colin Bent reaching the grand retirement age of 65. But customers can be reassured that he will continue to work in the field of antique clocks which has been his passion since a young man. Having started his apprenticeship at 15 he can now offer 50 years of experience in his chosen craft.

Due to failing eyesight, Colin has decided to concentrate on the buying and selling of quality instruments. Rather than trying pastures new, he is staying with what he excels in - the provision of high quality English wall clocks, for both their decorative quality and their collectability. In particular he will specialise in vintage electric clocks and high quality mercury barometers. These high value antiques are not encumbered by the constraints of size, which accompany some of the larger grandfather and long case clocks.

To this end Colin has joined forces with long-term customer and friend, Edward Burd. Edward is a world renowned authority on English dial clocks and we are delighted that some of his vast collection will now be on display at the Albion Clocks Gallery. These include many rare, high quality, desirable collectors' examples, which have not been on offer for the past 40 years having been in Edward's private collection.
