A Banjo Barometer by that noted Italian craftsman, Antonio Rivolta of Chester, circa 1825. Having a concave section Georgian style brass Begel mounting a flat glass with centre setting knob to the classical styled brass tell tale hand over the silvered dial zone scale. The case is inlaid with shell marquetrie decorations, so typical of the period.
