A fantastically decorative styled late French mantelpiece clock. Circa 1898 to 1909.
Standing 25” (64cm) high. A stunning mantel clock in panelled pink veined marble surmounted by a large gilt Eagle attacking a bronzed figure (possibly a Greek God).
The figure is defending himself with a stone hand axe in his left hand.
The oval clock dial has tumbling figures with classic period styled hands.
The eight-day pendulum movement striking the hours & half hours on a fine noted bell.
