A good example of a striking double fussee drop dial by J. Flint of Driffield (Yorks).
The classic mid Victorian influence shows through by the generous use of applied mouldings and carvings to this otherwise quite plain, functional office style drop dial, with good brass beyel and a plastered in flat glass. The lower case has a generous shaped window to view the boisterous action of the long pendulum bob. The clock strikes on a toned bell, as it would for a good bracket clock of the period.
